Well, we changed our flight from Sat. night to yesterday a.m. due to several factors — one of which was that we couldn’t find a room in all of Scottsdale, the area that the car was in. LPGA, spring training, a swimming event had taken up everything. I must have looket at 50+ hotels online, and called several others. Plus, I couldn’t reach anyone at the pet hotel that I wanted to leave Sunny at. So, after jumping through hoops to change the flight, we left out of here on an 8:00 plane, arrived in Phoenix and were picked up by my ex-husband; went to lunch and then on to the dealers’. After no more than an hour there, we were on the road and headed home. Arrived here about 7:00 p.m. I have to say that now that is all over and done, I’m glad we got the lemon in the first place. Otherwise we wouldn’t have continued to look for this car. It is beautiful, and with all of the options that we wanted including leather, in light colors, and with only 14,000 miles on it ( it’s an ’02), plus the bonus is that after we purchased the additional warranty from Mercedes, we are fully covered until May 2009! That is longer than if we had bought a new one for over 10K more! Yay for us! I guess diligence pays off.
Now I will get back to sorting things for Saturday’s yard sale. And figure out the best course to sell the Jeep. And get to the studio to pick up a couple things that need some alterations. And wash the seriously buggy car ( there is a butterfly migration going on in the desert southwest . ugh. )
Yea for leather!
